If I want to know, what gauge strings I have on my guitar, how will I know?

gauges vary even by .05 - 0.1mm lighter the gauge brighter the tone of the guitar so you can only judge by the feel and tone of the guitar

if you have a basic acoustic guitar then it must be of .012 gauge and it sounds light..which is common one avlbl in market. For electric guitars commonly used string gauge is .009 or .010. And it also depends on what type of strings you are uasing ...bronze or steel. It varies actually.
