Generally, skilled migration visas and some other PR pathways require a minimum IELTS score in each of the four components (Listening, Reading, Writing, Speaking), or an equivalent score in a recognized English language proficiency test. The most common skilled migration visa subclass is the subclass 189 (Skilled Independent Visa), and it typically requires a minimum score of 6.0 or 7.0 in each component of the IELTS Academic test, depending on your occupation. Some other skilled migration visas, like subclass 190 (Skilled Nominated Visa) and subclass 491 (Skilled Work Regional Provisional Visa), may also have similar English language requirements. read less
