Should one join any sort of coaching for GRE? If yes, which one is preferable?

Indu It all depends on you. If you are confident you can prepare by yourself. However you may require help sometimes in AWA section and quants especially if you are weak in math

If want a competitive atmosphere and a full classroom you can choose either Jamboree or Princeton. However, individual attention and intensive preparation is your requirement then I would suggest Amity Institute of Competitive Examinations.

Many B-Schools have started accepting the GRE scores. And the GRE new format (after August 2011) tests you on several measures which were found only in GMAT. One thing is, the Critical Reasoning Section. Now in the GRE, you will have questions involving critical reasoning, though these are not as difficult as those found in the GMAT. Also there is more verbal reasoning and less of vocabulary in the new format GRE, which is another measure tested in the GMAT.

Please book it at least 1-2 months prior - so that you will have sufficient time to prepare for your exam. And of course, you will be much planned and prepared on time.

How much time is required to prepare for GRE
Hi Sherin, it depends. I'd say 2 months if you feel very unprepared, or a month if you feel okay.
