If your understanding of physics upto B.Sc. level is good, and you have been used to questions and problems from books like Resnick & Halliday or Berkeley Physics Course or Feynman's lectures, you just need 2 to 4 weeks to practise with sample GRE physics tests. Depending on the lack of above, it could easily take at least 6 months or even a year, if you are targeting 95+ percentile. read less

I would suggest you take a mock test and divide the preparation time for each section based on your mock test score. Usually the verbal section takes more time since it is much more difficult than the quant section.

How many days prior do I have to book for the GRE exam?
Please book it at least 1-2 months prior - so that you will have sufficient time to prepare for your exam. And of course, you will be much planned and prepared on time.
