Having a good GMAT score is very important to secure an admission in a reputed B School. However, it is not the only thing that is required. Other things that matter are your academics, work experience, achievements at work, extra curriculars etc. Some Ivy LEague B Schools rejected even people with perfect scores (read 800) on the GMAT because the "other things that matter" are not upto the mark. read less
