There are some minor differences between how questions are displayed in the IR Prep tool versus the GMAT exam. We’ve described them below and if you want to compare them yourself, take a look at an example of each of the four question types on mba.com or take a practice exam in the free GMATPrep software. Graphics interpretation: in the IR Prep tool the graphic that you use to answer the question is displayed to the left of the question; in the GMAT exam, the graphic will be displayed above the question. Multi-source reasoning: in both the IR Prep tool and the GMAT exam, the information you need to answer the question will be shown on the left hand side of the screen. Click the tabs to reveal their content. Table analysis: in the IR Prep tool you can sort the contents of the table by clicking the small arrow next to the column heading text; in the exam you use a dropdown above the table to change the sort order. Two-part analysis: in the IR Prep tool, information required to answer the question is presented on the left of the screen; in the GMAT exam, the information is presented about the question. read less
