Hi Amritha, The duration of preparation entirely depends on the amount of time and effort that you can put in. I know people who have prepared for 2-3 months, yet they have scored in 600s. Hi Amritha, The duration of preparation entirely depends on the amount of time and effort that you can put in. I know people who have prepared for 2-3 months, yet they have scored in 600s. But I myself have prepared for a month and scored a 730. It all depends on how well you plan your preparation and your pace of grasping concepts. An important factor in your GMAT preparation is that you should give yourself enough time to be clear with your concepts and then work on your timing as time management plays a very important role in the actual exam. I know people who have scored 650-700 in the official GMAT simulation test but have scored in 500s in the actual exam. All in all, everything depends on the amount of time you give each day, your current status with regards to conceptual clarity and your strategy for preparation. Hope I was able to clear your doubt. read less

Yes 1 month is enough generally. But a lot would depend on what is your current status. If you are aiming for a score of 700+ and your current score before starting the prep is 610 then you would need more than 1 month. Sharing a few links to help you get started with the prep methods. In case of issues...

It also depends on whether you have already taken the GMAT once. Anywhere between 60 to 180 hours of study would be required. Other variables...
