I am basically a Chemical Engineer and having more than 35 years of working experience in Indian Oil Corporation Ltd. I joined Indian Oil Corporation Ltd. as Graduate Engineer Trainee on 09.12.1978 and retired as Dy. General Manager (HSE) on 31.07.2014. During this period I had been gradually promoted in the organization in various departments as under :
Process Engineer à Senior Process Engineer à Dy. Process Manager à Process Manager à Senior Project Manager à Chief Manager ( Health, Safety & Environment) à Dy. General Manager (Health, Safety & Environment).
• Brief of nature of jobs handled :
1. Economic analysis of petroleum refining operations and preparation of economic viability reports of operations.
2. Preparation of monthly and annual operation reports of petroleum refinery.
3. Monthly, Quarterly & Annual production schedule estimation of petroleum refineries.
4. Associated with Preparation of Reports of Working Groups formed on various facilities planning requirements.
5. Planning and preparation of Long Range Five year plan and Perspective plan (20 years) documents of the corporation.
6. Preparation of Tender Documents for selection of Foreign Licensors for various specialized technology based Process units
7. Evaluation of licensors' proposals and preparation of Board Agenda & proposal for obtaining Board Approval on final selected Licensor.
8. Finalisation of agreements with Process Licensors.
9. Review of Process Flow Diagram & Piping & Instrument Diagram of Process Units with Licensors at abroad (Paris, Chicago, Houston).
10. Preparation of Project Feasibility Report (including economic viability of the Projects) and necessary actions for project approval from Board / Ministry.
11. Identification of requirement of additional facilities and Preparation of Additional facilities proposals and necessary actions for Director / Chairman / Board approval.
12. Carrying out Safety audits & Environmental audits in Petroleum Refineries and preparation of detailed Audit Reports.
13. Carried out investigation into the accidents and prepared & submitted Accident Investigation Reports to top management.
14. Updation of Disaster Management manual, Safety Manuals of Petroleum Refineries.
15. Monitoring of compliance of various recommendation arising out of safety audits, environmental audits, accident investigation etc.
As Interviewer in Interview Board for promotion of employees from Technician grade to Officer grade.
