Yes, definitely. Watching movies, listening to songs and daily watching news in the language you are learning does really help a lot.

Keep doing it and join a proper German language course from an institute or a personal trainer. Showing German movies,listening to German music or texts,stories ,fragments are part of German language course. But would suggest not to pay attention to subtitles because you won't try to understand what is spoken in the movie, rather you would pay more attention to reading English subtitles. read less
