How long would it take to become fluent in German for an English speaker living in Germany?

it would take almost 6 months to become fluent in german because i assume u being living in gremany would atleast be knowing a little bit of it.

The answer is varied duration for each individual. Some spend years in Germany and still need to be taught. Some can pick up fluent ungrammatical German in 4-6 months and later become more grammatical within a couple of years.
