0I often see people learning German are confused when it comes to grammar to use the prepositions, active/passive, etc.
The reason is primarily we start translating the meaning for it in English, due to our medium of schooling and thinking in English. For a moment stop thinking in English and start converting the German sentencces into one of the Indian languages you know. It can either be Hindi,Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada etc.
This makes the learning quite easier in terms of sentence formation where usages fo gender, nouns play major role.
Many Germans often say they can learn Sanskrit with ease as it has quite a bit of similarities to Deutsch.
