IdentityI am Gerard Vijay, a Mathematics educator with over 20 years of experience teaching students from Class 6 to Class 10, along with 10 years of specialized coaching in Quantitative Aptitude for competitive exams such as GMAT, GRE, DSAT, CAT, and other entrance tests. Mathematics has always been my passion, and I take great pride in helping students not only understand the subject but truly master it with confidence.
I hold a BBA and a B.Sc. in Mathematics, which have provided me with both analytical depth and practical insight into problem-solving. In addition, I am a certified and trained GMAT, GRE, and DSAT trainer from The Princeton Review, USA. This professional certification has strengthened my expertise in competitive exam preparation and enables me to guide students strategically toward achieving high scores.
Over the years, I have had the privilege of mentoring students with diverse academic backgrounds and learning abilities. One of my students secured 2nd place in the District Math Olympiad, which remains a proud milestone in my teaching journey. I have also worked closely with students who initially struggled with Mathematics, helping them improve significantly and score 80–85 marks in their exams. These successes reflect my commitment to building strong fundamentals and self-belief in every learner.
My teaching methodology is structured, student-focused, and concept-driven. Before introducing advanced topics, I ensure that students have a clear understanding of the basics. I believe that a strong foundation is the key to solving complex problems with ease. My sessions are carefully planned, interactive, and designed to strengthen logical thinking and analytical skills step by step.
For school-level Mathematics, I primarily use the whiteboard along with well-organized teaching materials to explain concepts in a clear and systematic manner. For competitive exam training, I integrate PowerPoint presentations, structured study resources, and exam-oriented practice techniques to provide a more dynamic and result-oriented learning experience. In online classes, I combine digital tools and interactive discussions to keep students fully engaged.
My ultimate goal is to help students develop clarity, speed, and accuracy in Mathematics and Quantitative Aptitude. I focus not just on completing the syllabus, but on empowering students with problem-solving confidence that stays with them beyond exams.
