Start from basic books which you read during your undergraduate preparation and then solve at least 10 to 15 years previous year question which will boost your confidence and very important for understanding the nature of exam. so all the very best for your exam

Both are good. However, please avoid institutes like Gate Forum. They will offer low tuition fee and huge discounts. However, the GATE course material is of poor quality and faculties is mostly freshers.
