Resistence is property of any material that opposes the flow ofelectric current.
Capacitance is the ability to store the electric charge in it without flowing.This builds electric potential.

in a resistance energy gets dissipated, whereas in a capacitance energy is stored. resistance is a resistive device, whereas a capacitance is a reactive device. in a resistance the voltage and current are in phase, whereas in a capacitor, current and voltage are in quadrature.

A Thermocouple is a sensor used to measure temperature. Thermocouple consist of two wire legs made from different metals. The wires legs are welded together at one end, creating a junction. This junction is where the temperature is measured. When the junction experiences a change in temperature, a voltage is created.

variance of uniform distribution from limits a to b is given by ( (b-a)^2 /12)

Here a = 2 b= 10 therfore varieance or square of std dev is 8^2 / 10 64/10m= 6.4
