What is the difference between a Carnatic and Hindustani flute (Bansuri)?

Violin and Flute teacher with 20 plus years experience in the field.

Both flutes are actually same. But there is an additional hole for Carnatic flute. In my opinion both Flutes are same. The way of playing and teaching are little different. Both styles are classical.
