Harkirat

I am an educator with a deep passion for teaching and a strong commitment to contributing meaningfully to the education sector. My enthusiasm for nurturing young minds and my keen interest in teaching consistently motivate me to give my best to my students.

Science is a subject driven by curiosity, and the interaction between science and students energizes me as a teacher. I believe that the middle and secondary school years are a critical phase in a child’s development, as students are filled with inquisitive questions that need to be guided, encouraged, and harnessed effectively. Teaching, for me, is a two-way learning process, where I learn and grow alongside my students.

I bring with me rich and diverse classroom experience across reputed institutions. I taught Science and Mathematics to Grade IX and X students at Jamia Girls Senior Secondary School, where I was honoured with the Best Teacher Award. For the past four years, I have been teaching Chemistry at Shiv Nadar School, which has strengthened my subject expertise, learner-centered pedagogical practices, and classroom engagement strategies. I have also successfully cleared the Teach For India (TFI) selection process, reflecting my commitment to equity, leadership, and excellence in education.

My academic journey reflects consistent excellence and dedication. I was an All India Topper in Grade X. I completed my B.Sc. from the University of Delhi, followed by an M.Sc. Driven by my passion for education, I pursued a B.Ed. from Jamia Millia Islamia, where I was awarded a Gold Medal and also received an award from the Hon’ble Vice President of India for securing first position in my department. I have further strengthened my professional and research-oriented understanding of education by completing my M.Ed. from the University of Delhi.

With a strong academic foundation, extensive teaching experience, and an unwavering commitment to student-centered learning, I aspire to continue contributing positively to the field of education and to inspire students to explore science with curiosity, confidence, and purpose.
