Notable examples include Kevin Mitnick, who was once one of the most-wanted computer criminals in the United States but later became a security consultant; Adrian Lamo, known for turning in Chelsea Manning for leaking classified documents; and Gary McKinnon, a British hacker who infiltrated U.S. military computer systems.
