Remember , cyber security has a steep learning curve but once you navigate the challenges, learning will be incremental. So effort you put in today will save you a lot of pain tomorrow. What specific portion of cyber security interests you? Are you interested in attack or defense? I strongly recommend first trying to unwrap and explore a topic that interests you the most. This way you can stay interested and even when you face learning challenges, you will be sufficiently motivated to not give up. Let me know what exactly interests you and I will advise you a starting point. There is also no substitute for reading. So read. A lot. [Another] option is Application Security where you test all the applications (.NET, PHP, Java, Mobile) and for that you need to learn about attacks like SQL Injection, Cross Site Scripting, Malicious File Upload, etc. [One] another option is to get into Network Security where you deal with administration of Firewalls, Routers, IDS, VPN concentrators, etc. All these options are very good and have a great scope in future. read less
