Will it be a mistake to code the whole in .NET? Is .NET good for a front end? How does it perform with the SQL server?

Depends on requirement like if app is social purpose then client scripts are fine and if app is related to some financial or banking domain then .net is good.. Microsoft suggested .net with sql is the best way of database handling

.net is a frameworkk..., you can use multiple programming languages to create a .net application...., .net is not a coding language??; sqlserver is dbms that manages database. we connect .net application to sqlserver for storing data in that , which we submit from dotnet app ????
