Main reason for getting nervous during an interview is 'lack of confidence' which usually comes because of low self esteem or having poor communication skills. These can definitely be worked upon either with a help of a family member, friend or a teacher. You can start by having a confident body language and straight posture. You may want to rehearse your interview in front of a mirror or having a mock interview with a friend. If you start to stammer in an interview, pay attention to the question, take a few moments to collect your thoughts instead of being in a hurry to speak out - take a deep breath, speak slowly with ample pauses and pay attention to your voice pitch and modulation. Maintain an eye contact with the interviewer. Once you have calmed your nerves and are speaking slowly, you will find that you are not stammering anymore.
