Overview

I have co-authored an article titled ‘Covid-19, Population and Pollution- a roadmap for long run’ that was published in a blog Ideas for India. In this article, we tried to understand (using data) the causal relationship between population density and number of Covid cases in Indian districts, presented reasoning for how pollution could worsen the severity of cases and provided wide short and
long term measures in order to tackle the issues of population density and pollution and to reduce chances of spread of any similar disease in the future.During coursework on I worked on a term paper titled ‘Impact of FDI on Health Outcome Index in SAARC region’. As a part of my master’s thesis, I worked on ‘Understanding
commodification of Elementary Education – A case study of Telangana’ under the supervision of Prof. K. Laxminarayana. To meet the objective, I reviewed difficulties that came in between when we start treating education as a commodity. The secondary data analyses have been done using DPSIR- Approach for the year 2014-17. I have interned at the Centre for Socio-Economic and Political Research, where I worked on a project titled ‘Relationship between environmental and developmental indicators of Sustainable Development Goals - a cross sectional analysis’. Interning at the Ministry of Finance of
Government of India, under the supervision of Sh. Pawan Kumar (Deputy Secretary, Investment division) I wrote a paper titled ‘An analysis of Impact of FDI.

On the eve of Independence, the situation of Indian economy was stagnant. This is because of the policies that have been used during the colonial period. The three sectors of the economy; primary, secondary, and tertiary were in declining stage.
