Shubhankar Halder

I have completed my Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Library and Information Science, which have given me a strong foundation in library management, information organization, and user services. During my academic training and practical experience, I developed skills in cataloguing, classification using the Dewey Decimal Classification (DDC) system, circulation management, reference services, and collection organization.

I am familiar with library automation software such as Koha and have experience maintaining library records, issuing and returning books, and assisting students and faculty in locating information resources. I also know accessioning, shelving, stock verification, and basic digital library services.

In addition to my technical skills, I believe a librarian should create a welcoming and organized learning environment. I enjoy helping students develop reading habits, promoting library resources, and supporting teachers with academic materials. I am proficient in Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and basic computer applications, which help me manage library operations efficiently.

Although I am at the beginning of my professional career, I am a quick learner, dedicated, and eager to contribute to the growth of the library. I am committed to providing excellent service, maintaining an organized collection, and making the library an engaging place for learning and research.
