Experience in School or College
I have taught for about a decade at UG and PG level in different universities in India. In my teaching experience I realised that students, in first instance, assume that Sociology is going to be an easy subject since they are going to study about family, marriage which they already know. Sociology is a discipline which appears to be very close to common sense, hence it gives an impression of scoring subject. However, students find it difficult when they start learning how Sociological imagination is differnet from common sense.

Teaching Experience in detail in Class 12 Tuition
Students need to be trained in Sociology in such a manner that they are able to make sense of their everyday life, otherwise, the subject becomes uninteresting and difficult to grasp. The way Sociology is taught, students are either not able to relate the Sociological concepts to their everyday life or they just assume the common sensical knoweldge as the sociological knowledge. It is very important to teach the meanign of sociological imagination to students at the school level so that they don't struggle with the subject in the University.
