Basic software skills are required, plus a strong reading on the theoretical part. Initially read the concepts of statistical analysis followed by modeling and training on softwares like SPSS and Minitab. After that move on to programming like R and Python.

Statistic and calculus are mandatory. Also, you should know at least one programing language such as python or R. Along with this you should know visualization tools or libraries to get insight from data to create reports.
