You have just started your engineering and this is the right time to learn C and C++. Later you can learn any programming language by yourself. Remember one thing that software industry absorbs civil engineers also. So at the end of your degree you will have choice to switch to software industry. read less

As you are a civil engineer if you want to go to core side then go with Auto Cad, Staad pro and if you want to settle in pute IT development side then my suggestion is go with JAVA as it has a lot of scope.
