Your teaching experience may not be counted in industry. As you have great teaching experience over 15 years , why you are thinking to change the career track ?

Mr. Ajit , Teaching and Development is different . Teaching experience will not work much in development. But if you prepared for hardwork and labour for next couple of years then you may go for soft devlopment.

Usually the companies do not value the teaching experience. But if you are fond of development, you may start as part time developer.

Ajit my suggestion is that instead of development opt for something else. As you are good in teaching shows that your ability to learn and convince is high. So go for presales or CISA (System Audits). This career would be more usefull to you and you can also continue teaching parallely.
