Is it possible to score good marks in first year without joining tuitions and only by reading NCERT textbooks?

Actually not, because you need to have a exercise of mind which can be done by practicing no. of previous year question when u have practiced a good no. of previous paper u can easily score very good marks. by studying NCERT our preparation remains flying. generally it happens that students are not able to get good even by hard study. and as per answer of your 2nd ques yes one doesn't needs tuition if he take his doubts to his own' generally what student prefer that at first just once they complete their course by taking tuition than do papers through out the year by themselves. read less

Go with NCERT like law book. Where every sentence carries lot of depth. We see many times students don't understand the exact meaning of statement but someone who can analyse things there is no better book. Also go for ten years papers along with NCERT for best results. Best of Luck.

Now, each of the men effectively paid Rs400, the total paid is therefore Rs1200. Add the Rs200 in the waiters pocket and this comes to Rs1400.....Where has the other rs100 gone from the original rs1500?
The actual amount paid by the three men here is Rs 1200 as each of them contributed Rs 400. Out of this money the chef has taken Rs 1000 and the waiter pocketed Rs 200. Thus the calculation matches.
