Try to learn for knowledge instead of marks. When you start studying for knowledge study becomes fun in itself. You feel more confident and you will end up generating interest in studies.

Be proud of being such a different guy. Continue to develop the habit of exploring some new things in your field of interest. Keep exploring in whatever the ways you can, people may not help always. So the resources available are books, video materials , attending conferences, activities etc., Publish your achievements in internet, blog it, YouTube it. Take others appreciation and criticisms proactively and keep working towards the better. When you work towards your field of interest you will love studying. Studying is nothing but getting to know about different things, wouldn't you do it for your goal.
