Differentiate between maps and photographs?

Maps are dynamic in nature - for example when you zoom in on a map, the quality remains the same and added details are visible. In a photograph the content remains the same. Zooming in just zooms in on the same content, amplifying it.

Map is the actual replica of place in map district , town its distance , habitat, etc are mentioned but where as a photograph of a place does not mention all the details that a map give us

Maps is the symbolic presentation of any geographical area of earth on a flat surface to quantitatively or qualitatively analyze elements of earth like roads, rails, buildings, countries , rivers etc. Its major purpose is to locate directions and positions on a given scale. Photographs is a pictorial presentation which serves to capture any object qualitatively. It doesnot serve to describe any direction or position, however in some cases it gives some directional idea. read less
