ozone layer a layer in the earth's stratosphere at an altitude of about 10 km (6.2 miles) containing a high concentration of ozone, which absorbs most of the ultraviolet radiation reaching the earth from the sun. ozone hole or Ozone depletion occurs when chlorofluorocarbons (CFCs)—formerly found in aerosol spray cans and refrigerants—are released into the atmosphere. These gases, through several chemical reactions, cause the ozone molecules to break down, reducing ozone's ultraviolet (UV) radiation-absorbing capacity. read less

Ozone (O3) high in the atmosphere absorbs ultraviolet radiation from the sun, thereby protecting living organisms below from this dangerous radiation. The term ‘ozone hole’ refers to recent depletion of this protective layer over Earth's polar regions. People, plants, and animals living under the ozone hole are harmed by the solar radiation now reaching the Earth's surface—where it causes health problems from eye damage to skin cancer. The ozone hole, however, is not the mechanism of global warming. Ultraviolet radiation represents less than one percent of the energy from the sun—not enough to be the cause of the excess heat from human activities. Global warming is caused primarily from putting too much carbon into the atmosphere when coal, gas, and oil are burned to generate electricity or to run our cars. These gases spread around the planet like a blanket, capturing the solar heat that would otherwise be radiated out into space. read less

Ozone Depletion : Ozone depletion is a phenomena observed since the late 1970s which involves a steady decline of about four percent in the total amount of ozone in Earth's stratosphere (the ozone layer), and a much larger spring time decrease in stratospheric ozone around Earth's polar regions. The latter phenomenon is referred to as the ozone hole. read less

Ozone hole is a region of marked thinning of the ozone layer in high latitudes, chiefly in winter, attributed to the chemical action of CFCs and other atmospheric pollutants. The resulting increase in ultraviolet light at ground level gives rise to an increased risk of skin cancer. Air pollution has the ability to affect the earth’s entire ecosystem, as environmental scientists realized when they found direct links between ozone layer destruction and manmade pollutants called CFCs. read less

The angles of a triangle are arranged in ascending order of magnitude. If the difference between two consecutive angles is 10°, find all the three angles.
Let the any one of the angle of triangle be x then other two angle are x+10, x+20 According to Question, x + (x+10) + (x+20)=180 3x + 30 = 180 3x = 150 x = 50 Thus, angles would be 50, 60, and 70.
