The sum of two children is ‘a’. The age of the father is twice the ‘a’. After twenty years, his age will be equal to the addition of the ages of his children. Find the age of father.

A. T. Q,sum of the age'z of two children is X+y=a .........1 Age of father will be twice the age of children Z=2a..........2 After 20yrs. Age will be, Z+20=x+y+40 By using 1 and 2 eq. We get 2a+20=a+40 a=20 Therefore, father's age will be 40 yrs(2a).
