Should i learn primavera, excel etc or go for certifications like CAPM, PRINCE2?

It is any day better to hold a professional certification like Prince 2 OR PMP. They provide deeper insights on managing projects. A software is only an enabler.

CAPM, PRINCE2 or PMP are the project management Certifications, that helps you to gain knowledge, add the certification tag (to justify your knowledge). If you know Primavera and excel before going for CAPM & PRINCE2, will always help; but without the knowledge of these tools, doesn't make much difference....

The main difference between the three exams, is project experience. PMP requires the highest number of hours whereas CAPM requires the least.
