meiosis explain the separation of the sister chromatids during reduction division.......which is well explained by Mendal's law of seggregation...the alleles get separated at the time of gamete formation and the reduction division takes place at that time....!!

In meiosis we see the pairs of homologous chromosomes synapse (match up with their partners) during prophase I, then line up on the equator of the spindle during metaphase I, and pull away from their partners during anaphase I.
