For total internal reflection to occur, 2 conditions must be met: 1. The index of refraction must decrease across the boundary in the direction of light refraction. 2. The angle of incidence of the light ray must exceed the critical angle of the interface.

If ? > ?c, the entire ray reflects from the boundary. None passes through. This is called total internal reflection

Total interior angle of reflection is much greater than critical angle than this is known as total internal reflection.

The light is in the more dense medium and approaching the less dense medium. the angle of incidence is greater than the so-called critical angle.

The first condition is that the light should travel from optically denser to optically rarer medium, and the second condition is that the angle of incidence should be more than the critical angle.( Critical angle is the angle of incidence at which the refracted angle becomes 90 degrees. If the angle...

If a gas has density 3 l /gm .What would be its molar mass?
First of all, the unit of density is gm/l not l/gm (mass/volume). We must use ideal gas equation. PV= nRT, so that n/v = P/RT. Multiplying the left hand side by molar mass M is the density in gm/l. So...
