For eg: 2/4+6/3 take the LCM of the denominators i.e 4 and 3 LCM is 12 So devide 12 by Denominator(4) and multiply the answer with numerator(2) ans is 6 devide 12 by Denominator(3) and multiply the answer with numerator(6) ans is 24 so (6+24)/12 =30/12 = 5/2 or 2.5

There are two ways. One I am telling you.. Take L.C M of denominators. Divide the LCM by the numerator, you will get quotient. Multiply this quotient by the numerator. The answer you will get is the numerator and LCM figure will be the new denominator. Repeat the same for second fraction. Add... read more

A Passionate Teacher.

1/2 + 1/4 = LCM of 2 And 4 is 4. 4 is the common denominator. 4 divided by 2 is 2 and multiply by numerator ie 1. answer is 2 . similarly 4 divided by 4 is 1 , multiply by numerator ie 1, answer is 1. add the numerators 1+1 =2. answer is 3/4
