Conjunctions:

A conjunction is a word that joins words, phrases or clauses. A conjunction is nothing but a joint word between two sentences. Conjunctions are also called as coordinators.

Few conjunctions are for, and, nor, but, or, yet, so.

More examples:

And, both, as well as, not only-but also, either-or, neither-or, when, while, before, after, because, though, if, unless, if not, as long as, whether, so-that, in order to, no sooner than, as soon as, also, as, that, because, since, as if, when and where.

Examples:

1) The students sing vandemataram before they start their function.

2) Neither my father nor my mother will accompany me to Mumbai. 

3) Ashish and antony wanted to go home.

4) They want to visit museum after he finishes exams.

5) Either students or lecturers of the college not participated.

6) The king is rich but unhappy. 

7) Jill played the game well and won the award. 

8) It was a tall coconut tree but there was no coconuts.
