Preparing for the Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs) is a rigorous and specialized process that typically begins in high school or even later. It is not common for students in Class 8 to start IIT preparation specifically, as the IIT JEE (Joint Entrance Examination) is typically taken after completing Class 12. However, fostering a strong foundation in mathematics and science during these early years can be beneficial for future preparation. If you're looking for books to build a solid foundation in mathematics and science for Class 8, consider focusing on fundamental concepts and problem-solving skills. Here are some general recommendations: Mathematics: "RD Sharma Mathematics" by R.D. Sharma: This series is comprehensive and widely used in Indian schools, providing a strong foundation in mathematical concepts. "Mathematics for Class 8" by R.S. Aggarwal: R.S. Aggarwal's books are known for their clear explanations and extensive practice problems. Physics: "Science for Class 8" by Lakhmir Singh and Manjit Kaur: This book covers the basic concepts of physics in a student-friendly manner. "Physics for Class 8" by HC Verma: While HC Verma is more commonly used for higher classes, exploring simpler concepts in his books can be a good way to foster interest in physics. Chemistry: "Science for Class 8" by Lakhmir Singh and Manjit Kaur: This book also covers fundamental concepts in chemistry. "Chemistry for Class 8" by NCERT: NCERT textbooks are generally recommended for understanding basic concepts in chemistry. It's important to note that preparing for IIT JEE requires a dedicated and structured approach starting from Class 11 or 12. Once you reach the higher classes, you can consider specialized books for IIT JEE preparation. Books like "Concepts of Physics" by HC Verma, "Mathematics" by R.D. Sharma, and "Chemistry" by OP Tandon are commonly used for IIT JEE preparation. Always complement your studies with regular classroom learning, problem-solving practice, and seeking guidance from teachers or mentors. As you progress through the school years, you can explore more advanced books specifically designed for IIT JEE preparation. read less
