Molar mass of (Na2SO4) = = 142.066 Mass percent of sodium: 46.0*100/142.066 =32.379 = 32.4% Mass percent of sulphur:32.066*100/142.066 =22.57= 22.6% Mass percent of oxygen:64*100/142.066 =45.049 =45.05%

In a metallic bond, why positive ions are called kernels, not cations?
The kernel is an atom without its valence electrons that are weakly bonded; no electron belongs to one nucleus, valence electrons can move one kernel to another. So it is known as kernel, not cation (have valency).
