Hailing from Kerala, with no prior introduction or knowledge in French language , I never expected an advanced level syllabus in college. I couldn't have passed all my french exams , till date , without Sangamithra's help. With the advent of printing press, it became easier, and more affordable to make multiple copies of books and pamphlets which were readily available to the masses. And since that enlarged the scale of readership, more authors started to wrote books. When people read, they grew aware about the wrongs present in their society and started to rebel against it. This was why people in the 18th century thought that print culture would bring about enlightenment and end despotism.
