Hold a degree in PGPM (Data Science and Analytics) and have been associated with an IT firm before I chose to change my career path. I have an experience of 9 years in the field of education. I have been associated with my current institution for the past 8 years where I have worn multiple hats. I have started my journey as a Homeroom teacher and now serving as a PYP coordinator, in the same institution. I am also a certified Cambridge Professional Development Qualification leader. I have also attended IB workshops (Category 1: Making PYP Happen, Category 2: Inquiry, Category 3: Teaching and Learning, and Category 1: Making PYP Happen- Implementing Agency) and Category 2: Learning and Teaching for Conceptual Understanding. I have also been a part of SAIBSA (South Asia IBSchools Association) which was organized by my current organization and had an opportunity to conduct a session on Assessment in PYP.
I have taught students of various grades (grades 1 to 8) of different curricula (IB, IGCS,, E, and CBSE).
My current job role as an Academic Directoincludesds, curriculum development, implementing the PYP framework, collaborative planning, conducting professional development programs, monitoring and evaluating the overall implementation of the program, sharing feedback with the team through classroom observation, and setting up effective communication system with the learning community. Throughout my teaching and leadership career, I have consistently demonstrated a commitment to the IB learner profile attributes, instilling in students a sense of curiosity, open-mindedness, and reflection and thus fostering a sense of International Mindedness among the pupils.
