Both programming and interviewing skills are important in their own ways, wrt programming any coding language is needed wrt interview confidence, ability to open up, communication, handling the scenarios based questions are important, ideally technical skill will play a major role in getting the job
But one should focus on building strong technical foundations and developing effective interviewing skills to get the job
