Read every day, at least a paragraph from a few selected newspapers or magazines. Select five new words, words which you have never heard or words that you have listened to but not sure of its meaning. Find the meaning, root word and how to use it in a sentence or phrase. You can do this with the help of a thesaurus. Start using these words at the earliest possible moment. Shed your fear and use them. It's ok to be incorrect. It is how I think we can grasp at least a few words every time.
