its a good beginning, but to be honest only having CCNA cert wont guarantee u a job off campus. U need to consider higher certs like CCNP or CCIE. With CCNA u can get a job but it will be low paying. (here i am assuming you have completed ur bachelors degree already and searching for jobs off campus....

(here i am assuming you have completed ur bachelors degree already and searching for jobs off campus. if u still have opportunity for in campus placement,being CCNA certified will increase ur chances of getting a high paying networking job in a company that offers networking job profiles. I was a CCNA certified and got placed in Cisco during in campus placement, so it depends on the context as well ) read less
