The first step is to check what are the qualifying marks to take the CAT exams. If you do qualify - you certainly stand a chance if you are extremely good at quantitative skills, ability to recognize patterns, sound comprehension of English and Critical Thinking skills. This is what CAT tests you for. Give it a shot - it doesn't cost much, and you will not have the regret of not having tried. As I keep telling students there are three distinct periods in their life when they need to exert themselves very hard : (1) In their 11th and 12th Standards (2) In their Undergraduation (3) In their post-graduation. At each stage filtering happens. While the filtering is not necessarily a good predictor of how one will do in life, it certainly is a predictor of opportunities that will come your way. The better you perform at each stage, the greater the number of good opportunities that come your way. In your case, you can still give it a good shot - even if you take up a job. Work pretty hard at the job, and apply for a Exec MBA in three or four years. But hard work is essential :-) read less

After getting into Cambridge, he become Issac Newton. You can put all your efforts and get 100 percentile in CAT with an year of preparation. Set it as a goal and go after it. No one will ever remember your school grades as you would become a celebrity and is possible. A student of mine had 8 papers passed with arrears and his CGPA was 5.8. He did GRE with me with a goal to score 320 out of 340. He did score 321 and he got admittance in 6 universities and got his visa in 3 mins. No one ever bothered about his academic scores. He finished his MS Mechatronics in US. I completely agree Mr. Prasad. read less
