Hi Biswajit, Improving any language involves primarily 2 aspects. Speaking and reading. Once you start speaking often to others in English, you will notice that your communication level had improved. When you start there would be hiccups and mistakes so try to interact with folk who are willing to correct you and help you. The other option is to certainly join a professional course as some of the other folks have suggested. However be aware that simple translating from your current comfortable language to English will not necessarily work with respect to sentence formation and grammar. read less

Many times it is not knowledge on language that causes a barrier in communication. MTI or mother tongue influence can often hinder the person from communicating in English. If it is basic english communication that you are aiming at then 1. Start reading an English newspaper 2. Keep a book for writing down words which is not familiar to you and write down meanings and study these words 3. Take a topic for discussion and start debating on it in your mind. Of course, we can think a lot about topics in our mind and most often it is in the native language. Try and imagine communication in mind. This helps to fill thoughts in the English language that will flow out later on in conversations. 4. Listen to BBC news or weatch an English movie with British accent and concentrate on the pronunciations. 5. Try to talk what you have collected in your mind on a topic before a mirror in your bathroom. 6. Imagine you are in front of a crowd and talk to the imaginary crowd on a particular topic. 7. Pick friends who are interested in starting conversation in English and practicing with them 8. Join an online course if you can stick to it or join a good English communication training center near your area. read less
