What is the difference between Chinese calligraphy and Western calligraphy?

Answer 
Biggest difference is the number of letters in their alphabets, English has 26 where as chinese has 1000s . Rules of writing Chinese is very different from writing western calligraphy. It is also believed the traditional way of writing calligraphy was using a brush

The main difference between Western calligraphy and Chinese calligraphy is that Western calligraphy uses diffusing ink blots and dry brush strokes which are considered as a natural spontaneous expression instead of an error.
