Why don't popular programming languages like C, C++, and Java, have a pre-defined method/function for factorial?

Factorial function is not frequently required function . It is only required in probability problems, that is why it is not included in Library of math functions

The org.apache.commons.math4.util package, has a few factorial methods in the MathUtils class. There is an implementation of factorial for float and non-flat numbers (MathUtils.factorial(int) and MathUtils.factorialDouble(int)) and also useful natural logarithm of n! (MathUtils.factorialLog(int)) .
