No, it is not dying, and not dying soon. Just because there's a little job opportunities to work on, mainly on GUI, doesn't mean the framework will die any time

However, if you're referring to an individual named C, their mortality is subject to the normal course of life. Overall, whether C "dies" depends on interpretation: in the case of the language, its relevance may evolve with technological shifts, while for an individual, mortality is an inevitable aspect of being human. read less

C language was developed in 1972. Still we are using it. It is a very powerful language with simple syntax. If anybody wish to start an IT career, than C program is a good start. Most of OS kernel are developed using C program. So C is not destined to die now or ever

C language is a common subject in the first year of engineering irrespective of the branch. It may not be helpful for your civil engineering career but you definitely need to pass for B.Tech graduation.
