In 5 year dual-degree course 3.5 years will be your B.Tech and remaining 1.5 years you'll study your M.Tech. Unlike B.Tech ( regular 4 year) , Dual degree maynot be a good option . Few companies won't consider it for jobs as basic criteria.

Suppose your doing BE and ME separately, It will take 4 years for BE and 2 years for ME. Your doing dual degree within 5 years only. Nothing will be difference in the studying but one year is saved.

b.tech and m.tech degree courses duration is 6 yrs.but uou can get dual degrees in 5 yrs only.

Yes, if you are interested to do a M.tech in India (in Various IIT's & IISc) or settle yoursef in a Public Sector job GATE is the only option after B.Tech.

Is doing MTECH from IIT's is as good as doing BTECH from the IIT's?
Yes , I prefer M.tech to be done only in IIT's and NIT's only. Masters is nothing but having an intensive research on one particular subject of your interest out of many streams in your specialisation....
