In 5 year dual-degree course 3.5 years will be your B.Tech and remaining 1.5 years you'll study your M.Tech. Unlike B.Tech ( regular 4 year) , Dual degree maynot be a good option . Few companies won't consider it for jobs as basic criteria.

Suppose your doing BE and ME separately, It will take 4 years for BE and 2 years for ME. Your doing dual degree within 5 years only. Nothing will be difference in the studying but one year is saved.

Hi, I want to become a software Engineer , so what steps should I follow. Should I prefer IIT or not? I'm going to take admission in class 11th , so please advice me that if IIT is a good option for my career or not. If yes, than I'll star IIT JEE coaching classes with 11th and 12th. Please reply as fast as possible. Thanks.
Yes, you should start preparing for IIT JEE because for becoming a software engineer u need to get admitted in a good engineering college and as we all know IITs are best, also if u will aim for IIT then you can atleast get NITs very easily.
