Ratio of voids in a volume to total volume.

0 0

Sandeep replied | 24/06/2015

It is ratio of vol of void to the vol of solid.......it's range is e>0.....it can't be 0 because vol of void is never 0.....for coarse grain soil e>1 & for fine grain soil e<1 generally.

past incidents are useful to learn lessons so that mistakes are not repeated. future incidents are based on present actions. It is always better to live in the present with proper planning to have a good future.

Learn from your past. If present is good, future will be better, but don't sacrifiy your present for making best future. Balance both.

All these materials are classified on the basis of forbidden energy gap between conduction band and valence band. In conductor ,conduction band is fully filled with electrons. In insulator ,valence band is fully filled and does't contribute to create an electric current. In semi conductor, conduction and valence band are partially filled.

Because rotor conductors carry currents only if there i a relative speed between stator field and rotor field , if it will run on synchronous speed then induced emf in rotor conductors will be zero and rotor currents will also be zero then motor will not run at all

0 0

Jayakrishna replied | 05 Jan

if the speed of the rotor reaches to synchronous speed then other is no relative speed between the rotor and stator field hence no e.m.f and hence no current. due to this no torque to maintain rotation. that is the reason for IM always runs below synch speed.

unbalanced voltage leads to negative sequence voltage and in turn negative sequence current which leads to a flux opposite to the normal one and in turn an emf in the rotor and this leads to negative sequence current which is very high and enough to burn rotor windings.

0 0

Marri replied | 13/12/2015

current will draw more in the circuit in which voltage is less and finally motor will get over heated and burnt or fuse will get blown off

DC drives are free from electromangnetic Induction and controlled electronically by the logic controllers which can be monitored remotely by software .DC drives are robust and less heat generators there by efficiency is more

Jayakrishna replied | 05 Jan

in DC drives that to shunt machinesre having constant speed characteristics that means almost their speed is independent of load

because as per second law of thermodynamics it is not possible, if heat is coming in the body so while doing work a part of (heat)it reject in the surrounding (kelvin - Planks statement ) if adiabatic line intersect then heat is only coming in the body and due to intersection heat could not able to leave from the body so it violate 2nd law of Thermodynamics

For an adiabetic reversible process heat transfer is zero . since ds=DQ/DT we have Ds=O. Hence parallel but can't intersect.
